HAPPY NEW YEAR! We would like to say thank you for all your support in 2014. It was a great year for us and 2015 is looking good too! We are starting the year with a showing at the fabulous HOME at Olympia. An extra big thank you goes to Katie of Confessions of a Design Geek who has invited us to exhibit in the COADG2 space. We will be unveiling some new products so come along and say hello.

This month we took part in the Slow Textiles Geometrics Pop Up from 28th June to 19th July, which took place alongside an exhibition of Slow Textiles members work at the SLOWstudio in Kingsgate Road, London, NW6.
We met some wonderful people whose work and interests somehow overlapped with ours, including founder of Slow Textiles Emma Neuberg. We also met tapestry artist Tina Francis, Zoe Burt of Seeds of Fashion who is running a project to grow flax in allotments across London to make into linen for clothing and painter June Mendez whose wonderful monochrome geometric print from the 1960’s is featured below. Her late husband painter Theo Mendez was head of the Textile Department at Camberwell College from 1976-1984 and two of his painting are also pictured below. It was great to meet everyone and share thoughts.
One of the reasons we have been busy is Heal's. We were delighted to be asked to design an exclusive cushion for Heal's AW14 season. Our new design is called Hombre and it comes in 3 colourways on natural linen, 30cm x 50cm. We thought we'd share some images of the production process and soon I will add some images of the cushions themselves!
It was a beautiful, sunny day in the 'Sham when Theo decided to try waxing some of our printed linen. His home made concoction of bees wax, linseed oil and turpentine smelled wonderful. It was a bit tricky to apply...you have to work fast and get it on evenly but it worked! The waxed items hung around airing and drying for a few weeks and are now in daily use.
